A Note on Local Fees
The Galapagos archipelago is a protected national park. A small number of official entrance and conservation fees are regulated by the Ecuadorian authorities and must be settled in person by each traveler. These fees are not part of any tour package, including PazOcean programs, and are paid in cash at the airport or local ports.
Transit Control Card, TCT
$20 per person
Issued by the Galapagos immigration authority to register arrivals, departures and length of stay.
Paid at Quito or Guayaquil airport before the flight to Galapagos.
Galapagos National Park Fee
$200 per adult
The main conservation fee supporting ecosystem protection, park rangers, marine sites and visitor management.
Paid on arrival at the Galapagos airport.
Municipal and Port Fees
Approximately $1 to $3 per crossing
Small local fees collected at docks when traveling between islands or boarding certain marine activities.
Paid in cash at island ports during inter-island transfers.

How the Surf Experiences Work
The surfing component is included in every PazOcean Galapagos program. Depending on the final itinerary, it may be organized as one of the following formats.
Guided Surf Lesson
A locally coordinated surf lesson with equipment, guidance and transport when required.
Group Surf Session
A session organized with a local surf group or provider at an appropriate Galapagos surf area.
Selected Surf-Spot Outing
A locally guided outing to a special surf location, selected according to ocean conditions, accessibility and safety.
The specific surfing format is not guaranteed at the moment of the initial inquiry. It is confirmed according to the final island itinerary, local conditions, traveler experience and supplier availability.
The surf experiences are intended mainly for travelers who already have some surfing experience. Travelers who require a lesson can request a guided instructional session instead of an independent group outing.
